Sectile figurado de la Villa de la Estación de Antequera

Abstract

Antequera Station's Ville, in the province of Malaga, has contributed to us one of the most important discoveries of the last years. The study of its architectonic complex offers new data on the social, cultural and economic panorama in Baetica province. Nevertheless, the most excellent finding, by its importance in the field of the investigation, consists of a coating plate mural with appeared representation. In Hispania, and more concretely in Baetica province, we only counted on an example of appeared marbled coating, found in the Roman deposit of Gabia the Great Granada). The importance of this sectile resides in the fact that its precedent of Granada is conserved quartered, without possibility of establishing a defined representative scheme.
